Stephen H. Wheeler, 63, died of natural causes on May 6, 2022.  He is survived by his sons Jaime, Andrys and Israel, and his sister Dawn Wheeler and brother-in-law, Neil Richter.   He was born on March 15, 1959  to Horace A. Wheeler III and Carol (Trado) Wheeler of Bergenfield, NJ.  Steve lived in Dumont, NJ, where he attended Dumont High School, and then lived in Closter, NJ. 

He most recently worked in sales for Worldwide Logistics, and prior to that, he worked for many years in the Health Spa and Gym industry throughout the metropolitan area. 

He loved to work-out at the gym and was a life-long fan of the New York Yankees, Giants, Knicks and Rangers.  Steve had a big personality – a big smile, wickedly funny sense of humor, and a generous spirit.  He made friends wherever he went.  He was very proud of his boys as he watched them grow into adulthood.

Visiting hours will be Friday, 6-9pm at the Moritz Funeral Home in Closter, NJ.
